Low-Carb Salisbury Steak - Review by Gee Ma
My granddaughter asked me to make my Salisbury steak for her visit today. However, I knew she was on a low carb diet due the need to lose weight for her upcoming surgery. Found just what I needed. This is a great recipe. Followed the recipe for the steaks but made adjustments for the gravy. She doesn't eat mushrooms so I had to leave them out, also changed the sour cream to low fat milk (was out of sour cream) with the beef broth and an extra tablespoon of flour. Taste good!
Homemade mushroom gravy takes the flavor of simple hamburger steaks to the next level. It's still quick enough to cook for a weeknight dinner.
Marinate beef steaks in this a sweet sauce of soy, sugar, garlic, and sesame and grill. Roll up in red leaf lettuce with rice and hot pepper paste for a real Korean-style treat.
This gluten-free, low-carb, and paleo-friendly 'meatza' uses ground beef as a crust! It is perfect for those who crave pizza but cannot eat bread or want to cut down on some carbs.
A girlfriend's mom made this spread years ago for our Teen Club Luncheon back in Iowa in the 50's. I asked her to tell my Mom how to make it. I made the recipe for my kids while they were growing up & they still love it. Sweet relish and eggs round out the flavor of bologna in this simple but delicious spread. Serve it on cocktail toast, or use it in sandwiches. The amount of egg, creamy salad dressing and relish should be adjusted to taste.
This is a homestyle dish handed down from my grandmother to my mother to me. It's very simple but tastes out of this world.
You can't get much more authentic than this 300 year old recipe from China. Roast pork, bamboo, and mushrooms lend a rich flavor to an authentic egg roll.
This is how they make loose meat sandwiches in the restaurants. They are always moist and savory.
Grits are a must for breakfast in some parts of the world. They are baked with sausage, eggs, and cheese in this fantastic breakfast casserole.
Simply delicious French bread rolls with a crisp crust and chewy texture.
